Nice item, fits perfectly in bins……..Would like to see a tray that fills up the whole box without bins (all one caliber)……..1 for the 1/2 DEWALT box and 2 for the big DEWALT box.
An insert for tools or hearing protection would be nice if doable.

We could make a solid insert, but unfortunately, it wouldn’t increase the capacity. The ribs in the lid line up with the inserts, which limits the available height. A solid insert would actually leave the ammo sitting lower, creating a looser fit and potentially more rattling.
By sticking with the individual bins, we’re able to keep the ammo about 3 mm away from the lid while also giving you the flexibility to store more than one caliber in the same case. We run into the same issue with the Milwaukee Packout lineup as well.
That being said, we’re always kicking around new ideas. One possibility we’ve been considering is an internal lid or cover that would fit over the ammo and close inside the existing lid. It’s something we’re continuing to explore.
